Trade & commercial
Northern Beaches Stone works with builders, architects and landscape designers on high-end residential, commercial and heritage projects across Sydney's Northern Beaches and North Shore.
We price and build the stonework package on your project, from a single feature fireplace to the full facade and landscape stonework on a new home. We work to your drawings, specifications and finishes schedule, and we will flag anything that needs resolving before the stone is ordered.
We fit our work into your programme and keep the site manager informed about stone deliveries, access and what we need from other trades before we start, such as substrates, footings, slab levels and flashings. Where a detail affects the stone, such as fixing to a lightweight wall or the clearances around a gas fireplace, we raise it early so it is solved on paper rather than on site.
On heritage and high-end work, we can prepare sample panels so you and your client can sign off on stone, coursing, joints and finish before the main work goes ahead.
We supply Sydney sandstone in sawn, split-face and rock-face finishes, as well as limestone, bluestone and travertine, and we can install stone supplied by you or your client. For alterations and heritage work, we source recycled sandstone or hand-dress new stone to match the existing work.
Blake Cooper holds NSW contractor licence 328680C in the Stonemason class (ABN 74 359 637 268). Stonemasonry covers stone walls, veneer and cladding, staircases, pointing and stone flagging. Structural concrete such as slabs and footings, retaining walls that need approval, and gas, plumbing and electrical work are carried out under the appropriate licences, and we coordinate with those trades on your project.
